Our Achievements In Health

New Health Centres Constructed

I am advocating for Children with Special Needs. I appreciate the Medical Camps that we have conducted and appreciate the Doctors who are giving back to society. I want to urge all leaders that we should always advocate for people who are not able to find these services.

H.E. Edna Lenku

First Lady – Kajiado County

I am very grateful for the County Government, this is just a starting point for Kajiado North. If we come together and we happen to make this a yearly event, everyone is going to come out, they re going to say they are pleased. I believe we have a very able Governor, who is going to listen to us and together with his team we are going to have a special school for each and everyone.

Mrs. Purity Gikunda

Vice Chairperson -Kajiado North Parents Association

Today was a happy occasion for our facility as H.E. Ole Lenku visited us to hand over equipment bought by KOICA. The various equipment will improve our lab, theater, physiotherapy, and pediatric departments and will really help our patients. I thank the County Government for their support they have given our facility, together we will move forward and scale the heights to deliver the best services to the community.

Nutrition Survey Conducted focusing on drought that
causes acute malnutrition especially for the under fives.
At least 50 percent of the population of Kajiado County is accessing basic health services within 5km radius due to the county’s construction and upgrading of dispensaries, health centers, clinics and hospitals.
We are proud of how far we have come, but this is only the beginning

H.E. Joseph Ole Lenku

Governor, Kajiado County

At the onset of devolution we had quite a number of challenges, we had a shortage of staff, we had poor supervision especially in the rural facilities, and in the past five years we had very low health indicators, for example our immunization coverage in the county was only 68%, now we have improved this to 86%.
Our under five deworming is up from from less than 4% to 40%. Our skilled delivers were at 40%, now we are up to 55%. We had about 80 health facilities, and now we are at 102, with 10 brand new ones.
